They are spending millions of dollars for laying cement roads and for setting up various clinics like medical, dental and eye to meet the medical requirements of the people residing in the village. Because of the good work they are doing they have earned the respect and love of thousands of people belonging to their village.
The Dave Katragadda Foundation has started e-governance programs, Chiluvuru Village became the first `Rajiv Internet village' in India, when Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy inaugurated it on August 20, 2004. The vision was to link Chiluvuru village in Guntur district through the Internet. Providing high-speed broadband Internet services to reach all villages. The focus was on tele-medicine as remote villages needed expert medical opinion in an emergency for which the foundation has brought new technology with the support of the 4G-informatics and for the use of farmers who would be assisted in farming.
Katragadda foundation gives the villagers of chiluvuru livelihood and soft skills in an environment of interactive learning and mentoring that develops their inherent strengths. The curriculum is constantly upgraded in tune with industry requirements. The people of chiluvuru are put through intensive learning of computer skills to help them communicate their problems in medicine and framing and help them learn using the internet. The foundation has facilitated to start a Trust for Education under the chairmanship of Dave katragadda, which is in the process of establishing corporate training centers for IT education nationwide in India. The Trust aims to have an impact on engineering education in India through cutting-edge technological education in two engineering colleges, as well as state-of-the-art training for future engineering faculty.
The Foundation is dedicated to reducing the financial obstacles that prevent many students from fulfilling their potential.
